/ We are going Green

At Grand Case Beach Club, we are committed to preserving the natural beauty of the island, but also to doing our part to reduce our environmental impact and promote sustainability. The values that guide our sustainability efforts are close to our hearts and we are deeply committed to ensuring a vibrant, healthy world for the next generation to enjoy.

We have already implemented several eco-friendly practices to reduce our environmental impact as we start our Green journey.

We use eco-friendly cleaning products throughout the property and guest rooms, ensuring a healthier environment for our guests and the planet.

The entire property is lit with energy-efficient LED lighting, which significantly reduces energy consumption and lowers our carbon footprint.

Guests are also encouraged to turn off the air conditioning when leaving their room and to participate in our linen reuse program by reusing towels, which helps conserve water and energy.

To minimize single-use plastic waste, we provide toiletries in refillable dispensers and are in the process of eliminating single-use plastic bottles throughout the property. In addition, Nespresso coffee capsules used at the front desk are recycled.

We are proud to offer a selection of locally made, eco-friendly beauty products for sale. By supporting local artisans and choosing sustainable products, we contribute to the well-being of our community and the environment.

We also support local employment, development, and community life in Grand Case and the island in general through associations, events, training programs, among others.

Grand Case Beach Club produces up to about 15,000 gallons of water per day using Reverse Osmosis, a highly efficient water purification method. This process involves drawing seawater from a well and forcing it through a semipermeable membrane under high pressure, which filters out impurities and salt. The system includes pre-treatment steps to remove larger particles and chemicals, ensuring the membrane’s efficiency and longevity. The resulting water is exceptionally pure, with post-treatment stages like re-mineralization and disinfection enhancing its quality. This advanced system ensures a consistent supply of clean, safe water for the resort’s guests and operations.

This is just the beginning, and we are determined to do things right. We have set achievable goals that take into account the unique capacity of our island. These will grow and evolve over time, always with the goal of minimizing our environmental impact without compromising our services and guest experience. Thank you for joining us on this journey, together we can make a positive impact on our environment and preserve the beauty of our island for future generations.

Pack with a Purpose

At our hotel, we believe in giving back to the community that surrounds us. We invite you to join us in supporting two incredible local associations that make a significant impact on our island.

Le Manteau de St Martin has been a cornerstone of our community for many years, offering vital assistance to the homeless, women, and youth. This wonderful association provides essential support and services to those in need. If you feel moved to contribute, there are several ways you can help:

  • Supply Goods: We gladly accept donations of food, school materials, clothes and gently used sheets and towels for their various projects.
  • Donate: You can make a monetary donation through this link.

Ursula, the heart and soul behind the I Love My Island Dog Association, is renowned both locally and internationally for her dedication to helping our furry friends. Despite the destruction of the only shelter on the French Side by Hurricane Irma, Ursula continues her mission with passion and perseverance. She is particularly focused on spaying and neutering campaigns to control the stray dog population on the island. Here’s how you can support her cause:

  • Buy Supplies: While you’re on the island, consider purchasing dog food or treats.
  • Donate: You can make a monetary donation directly to support the spaying and neutering campaigns through this link.
  • Adopt a Dog: If you’re interested in adopting a dog, let us know, and we can connect you with Ursula.

Donations can be given to the front desk, and we will directly contact the association on your behalf.

Travel Responsibly

Observe, Don’t Disturb

Our island is home to incredible wildlife, including starfish and turtles that can be seen along our GCBC’s beaches. While it’s exciting to encounter these amazing creatures, we kindly ask you to observe them from a respectful distance. By resisting the urge to handle or disturb them, you help ensure they can continue to thrive in their natural habitat.

Dispose of Waste Responsibly

Let’s work together to keep our island pristine! Please dispose of all trash in the designated bins. Littering not only spoils the beauty of our environment, but also poses a serious threat to local wildlife and the fragile ecosystem. By disposing of waste properly, you contribute to the preservation of a beautiful, clean environment for everyone to enjoy.

Minimize Noise

For the comfort of our wildlife and fellow visitors, please keep noise levels to a minimum. Many species on our island are sensitive to noise, and a quieter environment helps them thrive. This also means keeping music on personal speakers at a low volume while on the beach to ensure a peaceful experience for all.
